Mawson Collins is a regulated property practice offering Open and Local Market residential Estate Agency, Landlord and Tenant Advisory and Property Management. Our client base comprises commercial and residential Vendors, managed client Landlords, Tenants and Financial Institutions across the Islands, all backed by many decades of combined expertise in our field.

Our offices at L’Islet are only fifteen minutes from St Peter Port and close enough for us to visit the bulk of our clients and their buildings quickly whenever required, and react quickly to emergencies ‘24/7’, 365 days a year.

For visiting clients, there is parking outside the door and a warm welcome inside.

Mike Collins Managing Director

With over 35 years of experience in the building and property industries, Mike brings a wealth of practical knowledge and leadership to Mawson Collins. Starting his career as an electrician, he progressed to managing the electrical division of a major local M&E firm before transitioning into property management in 2001. After rising to director level at a well-established local agency, Mike co-founded Mawson Collins in 2012 with Howard Mawson. Now running the company alongside his wife Lisa, Mike has grown the business from the ground up, establishing a strong market presence across all departments. His deep understanding of both estate agency and the construction sector enables the team to offer an unrivalled range of services to clients across Guernsey.

Lisa earned her Diploma in Secretarial Procedures from The Guernsey College of Further Education. After a brief period in finance, she built a diverse skill set in insurance, recruitment, and architectural practices before moving into the property sector with one of the island's largest agencies. Having been with the company since its inception, Lisa’s extensive experience and exceptional organisational skills naturally led to her progression into a Directorship role, where she now runs the business alongside her husband, Mike.

Jonathan Maides Director

Jon is a Chartered Building Surveyor and an RICS Registered Valuer. He is a fourth generation property professional and garnered his interest in property following his father around a range of Guernsey homes when he was young. Jon started his career in central London working for one of the largest core Building Surveying firms in the world. He moved back to Guernsey in 2010 to raise a family. Jon developed a keen interest in the Guernsey property market as well as local building pathology and is often found carrying out surveys and property valuations or diagnosing and fixing property defects. His role at Mawson Collins is mostly regulatory and consultancy based, advising on all types of valuation and property matters. Jon also heads up the Mawson Collins affiliated company, Maides and Partners, providing core building surveying services.

Stuart Le Maitre Business Support Manager

Stuart joins Mawson Collins in a Business Support role after a diverse career in the UK and Guernsey. Initially a qualified teacher, he pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance and specialized in aiding the long-term unemployed in Buckinghamshire, eventually managing the Careers Service in High Wycombe. Upon returning to Guernsey, Stuart held various Civil Service roles, culminating in a decade as Deputy Chief Officer for the then Board of Industry. After leaving the service, he established a consultancy in governmental services before becoming COO for Guernsey Airtel, where he built the company from the ground up. Stuart also worked at the Medical Specialist Group (MSG) as both Business and Project Manager and CEO, totalling six years. His most recent tenure at MSG was particularly challenging as he led the organisation through significant changes due to COVID-19. Additionally, Stuart has held non-executive roles in various Guernsey entities and has served as a Douzenier and Senior Constable for the Vale Parish.

Esther was born and educated locally and has been in the Estate Agency industry for 17 years, helping to establish the sales department at Mawson Collins in 2019 having previously working for another of Guernsey’s largest property agencies. She is the Sales Department Manager and a highly skilled negotiator and who excels at guiding Vendors and Purchasers through the sales process. She takes pride in marketing properties to their best advantage, whilst providing valuable support and advice throughout the process.

Adele has been with the team since 2016, her aptitude being such that she has moved through the ranks from Receptionist to Operations Manager. Adele plays a vital role in our Property Management team, and callers can always expect a cheery and helpful voice at the end of the phone. Her knowledge of the business is exemplary, and she is always keen to assist wherever she can.

Born and raised in Guernsey, Amelia brings a wealth of experience in people-focused roles to her position as Residential Rentals Manager. With over three years at one of the island’s leading estate agencies and a background in aviation, she has built a strong foundation in customer service and communication. During her five years in Australia, Amelia broadened her professional skills in the legal, hospitality, and recruitment sectors before returning to Guernsey. Since joining Mawson Collins, she has been known for her reliable, approachable nature and her commitment to understanding and meeting the unique needs of every client. She takes pride in delivering smooth, stress-free rental experiences and building long-term relationships with both landlords and tenants.

Lisa went straight into the world of finance from school, working for an international bank, first as secretarial support and then banking administration. In 1996, she moved into securities administration. After a taking a career break to bring up her two sons, she joined the team in 2012. Lisa has an excellent knowledge of all our accounting procedures and now manages the Department.

Tony started his career in the finance and retail industries before moving into Property Management around 20 years ago. Having joined the Mawson Collins team in 2019 Tony currently manages a large residential portfolio. Working closely with our Residential Lettings Department, Tony helps ensure existing and new clients, as well as their tenants, receive the quality and level of service they should expect.

After studying Art and Photography at Bournemouth’s Arts Institute, Sally returned to the island and initially worked in retail and hairdressing before beginning her career in property with one of the island’s largest estate agencies. With over 16 years of experience across both Residential Lettings and Sales, she has worked in various sectors of the industry, gaining invaluable cross-market expertise. Sally has a genuine passion for property and thrives in the fast-paced, dynamic nature of estate agency.

As the first point of contact at the office, Donna manages the reception desk and provides vital support to our Sales, Lettings, and Property Management teams. Whether she's handling enquiries, managing appointments, or assisting with a variety of administrative tasks, Donna helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Jamy spent her early years on the slopes as a ski instructor before relocating to Guernsey with her husband and colleague, Tony Fulgoni. Jamy has held various senior client facing roles and now has a dual role in the company, one being in the Accounts Department and the other assisting Tony with his allocated client base. Jamy has a good head for figures and also enjoys assisting with the challenges that Property Management can bring.
